Our Mission

 Swissvale Cares, Inc. manages the Swissvale Community Food Pantry (SCFP). We are an agency member of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank (GPCFB) We are a volunteer organization serving 200 families per month.

Distributions are bi-monthly serving the food insecure in Swissvale & the surrounding communities. In addition we offer produce distributions monthly March through October. The first Friday of the month we provide the residents of Swissavle Towers the opportunity to shop at their facility.

We partner with other service organizations as Restoration Community Church 412 Food Rescue & the local farm market. Boy & girl scouts troops the postal service church groups & the the Knights of Columbus among other community groups supplement our distributions with yearly food drives.

We rely on funding provided by grants & private & public donations.

Our volunteer staff is committed to our mission of continuing to provide for the food insecure.
